Pride of Ownership

"A game-changer. Unique in our industry." - Jeff J., Employee-Owner Since 2015

How the ESOP benefits our employee-owners

Our customers' success means our success, and when you join AMERICAN SYSTEMS, it will mean your success! As one of the top 100 largest employee-owned companies in the United States—out of 11,000—the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of AMERICAN SYSTEMS share value over the last 10 years is 8.3%. We largely attribute our growth to this unwavering, can-do attitude...and pride of ownership.

When AMERICAN SYSTEMS became a majority-owned ESOP company in 1997, we committed ourselves to growing the value of the business over the long term, thereby leading to increased value of our ESOP accounts. Today, our commitment to long-term growth is stronger than ever—for the company and for our employee-owners. Join us today, and discover how pride of ownership pays off.

How the ESOP benefits our customers

Since AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned company through our majority-owned Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), employees are contributing to and sharing in our success on a daily basis. Why is this important to our customers? Because as a team we have a common goal and synergy among our people that starts with our customers. We are dedicated to their missions as well as our own. We are motivated to exceed their requirements in every task. We are committed to maintaining the highest levels of service possible.

Be Engaged.

"I make a positive impact to our customers and AMERICAN SYSTEMS as an empowered employee-owner."

Employee Benefits

AMERICAN SYSTEMS offers a comprehensive benefits package to ensure our employees receive the work-life support they need in and out of the office. Our benefits package includes the following:

Medical Insurance

Our medical plan provides two high deductible coverage options through Cigna. Both options have access to a Health Savings Account. TRICARE Supplement coverage also is available. Coverage begins on date of hire.

Machine Readable Files (MRFs)
This link leads to the machine readable files that are made available in response to the federal Transparency in Coverage Rule and includes negotiated service rates and out-of-network allowed amounts between health plans and healthcare providers. The machine-readable files are formatted to allow researchers, regulators, and application developers to more easily access and analyze data.

Dental Insurance

Employees have a choice of a copay plan or preferred provider network (PPO) coverage. Orthodontia coverage for children and adults is also provided.

Vision Plan

Coverage for eye examinations and eyewear materials (lenses and frames, contact lenses) is provided through both network and non-network providers.

Critical Illness Insurance

Employees may purchase a $20,000 or $30,000 critical illness insurance option which provides a lump sum cash, non-taxable benefit payment for certain covered major medical conditions to help improve financial security.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The employer-paid Employee Assistance Program provides all employees and their family members with confidential assessment, referral, resources, and crisis intervention to help resolve issues such as personal well-being, parenting and childcare, eldercare, financial problems, and legal concerns.

401(k) Plan

Combined Leave Account for Time Off

Employees manage their holiday, vacation, personal days and sick leave through a combined Flexible Leave account. Your Flexible Leave leave accrual rate and eligibility will depend on your position and your length of service with the company.

Flexible Spending Account

Employees may contribute to a flexible spending account (FSA) for the tax-free reimbursement of out-of-pocket medical and dependent care expenses.

Life and AD&D Insurance

Life insurance and AD&D coverage amount will depend on your job position and salary. Employees also may purchase supplemental coverage through AMERICAN SYSTEMS.
